The Landmark Gate, Carved by Hand

No element of Chinese stone architecture makes a stronger statement than the paifang. Quyang carvers have built archways for imperial shrines for centuries, and we now export the same craftsmanship — from intimate garden gates to monumental ceremonial arches for Chinatowns, temples, and cultural parks abroad.

Frequently Asked

Stone Archway Questions

What is a Chinese stone archway (paifang)?

A paifang (牌坊) is a traditional Chinese memorial archway — a gated structure with columns, beams and tiered roofs, carved from marble or granite. They mark temple entrances, villages, ancestral halls, parks and commercial districts, and are symbols of honor, prestige and welcome.

What sizes of stone archway can you build?

We carve archways from compact 3-meter garden gates to full ceremonial 15m+ multi-bay structures with three or five openings. Each archway is engineered block-by-block with traditional mortise-and-tenon joints, designed for safe assembly on site.

Can you work from our design or photos?

Yes. Send photos, drawings, or a reference archway and our carvers will reproduce the proportions, carvings and inscriptions. We produce a 3D or elevation drawing for approval before carving begins.

How are large archways shipped and assembled?

Archways are shipped as numbered blocks in reinforced crates. We provide a detailed assembly drawing and numbered layout, and can send a technician to supervise installation at your site (visa and travel costs quoted separately).

What is the lead time and cost basis?

A standard 6–8m marble archway typically takes 45–90 days depending on carving density. Pricing is based on size, stone type and decoration level — request a quote with your dimensions and we reply within 24 hours.
